Appointments are available mainly during the daytime with some limited evening appointments available.
We will try to keep your sessions to the same day and time to provide you with consistency and so you know you have that time dedicated to you.
I usually recommend weekly sessions to start with and counselling can be short or long-term depending on your own individual need.
We will have regular reviews to see how the counselling is progressing and what you feel you need so you are in control of how long you would like the counselling to continue.
I ask that you give at least 48 hours-notice if you need to cancel and reschedule a session.
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours-notice will be charged 50% of the session fee. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours-notice or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee.
Counselling is a talking therapeutic therapy. I provide a place where you can come and talk to a qualified counsellor about whatever is bothering you or things you may be struggling with in a safe non-judgemental environment. It can be helpful to talk to somebody in confidence away from family and friends.
Counselling can help you to make sense of things, become more self-aware and have a greater understanding of yourself and others. It can help you to see other choices and options for yourself and how you live in the world, building your self-confidence and feeling more in control in your life.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial session. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to therapy, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 01799 794795 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
